Under Armour has announced its intention to raise its hourly compensation for over 8,000 employees to $15/hr .

Like many other companies coming out of the pandemic, Under Armour is seeking to hire a large swath of new employees as businesses ramp back up in a more normal world. Over 3,000 positions are open, says the company.

The [compensation] increases, which could be as much as 50% for some workers, will be effective June 6. The part- and full-time employees who will see a compensation bump represent about 90% of the company’s retail and distribution workforce.

The company joins a long line of others who are enticing returning workers with bonus compensations, raised wages, better benefits, and incentives to interview.
